Welcome to another
Sunday with Weekend Writing Warriors.
Here, writers showcase their stories with 8-10 sentences. Join the fun and read
our snippets.
Today, I’ll continue the
horrid wedding scene from my WIP, Grand Master’s Mate, Book 3 in the trilogy. Violet
and her Grand Master, Athanor, are at the wedding of her friends, when another
Grand Master, the Red Queen, Morrigu, drops in, explosively.

with:
Grimacing in fury, the Red Queen zapped red rays at Athanor,
again and again.
Her
attacks were futile. She was unable to penetrate his shield, strengthened by
his link with Violet.
An
impasse. Ruby lasers reflected from the translucent blue envelope around Athanor
and the people he shielded. Morrigu roared her frustration.
Raising
her red arms to the ceiling, Morrigu blasted the intact windows. Glass panes
crashed down and Athanor tightened his screen over the helpless people. The
roof trusses creaked and snapped, tumbling onto the sizzling blue bubble of
Athanor’s shield. He pumped energy into the defensive screen, leaving nothing
for a thrust at their devilish red attacker.
Books 1 & 2 of
the Trilogy are published.
Book 1 is 99c from
23-30th
