Welcome to the February Showcase for Writers of Science Fiction Romance. Please return to read the highlights from other authors.
I’m showcasing
my WIP, GRAND MASTER’S PAWN. As an experiment, the full-length novel is being
released initially as 4 novellas.
Interview with Violet
Hunter, the female protagonist.
Question:
Tell us a bit about yourself, Violet.
Answer:
I’m twenty two years old. I’ve earned a master’s degree in xenobiology from the Space Academy, and I have certificates for proficiency
in self defense and target shooting. It’s all in the public records! Off the record, I’m
an empath, trained in secret.
Question:
Why do you wear a steel necklace with two sapphires?
Answer: The pawn’s collar shows I serve one of the twelve Grand Masters. I
found the sapphires on my first mission. My Grand Master watches through them
on my missions.
Question:
Do tell us about your mysterious Grand Master?
Answer:
Oh, he’s obnoxious. He won’t tell me his name and he likes to shove his psi
power at me. But I’m going to fix him!
Question:
What does he look like?
Answer:
I’ve no idea! He has a griffin avatar with flashy blue eyes. He might not even
be human.
Question:
What are your goals in life?
Part 2 has Dragons |
Answer:
I love exploring planets. And, I’m hunting for the truth about the Grand Masters. Mother
Tingu believes some of them want to destroy civilization.

Yay for smart heroines!
ReplyDeleteHmm...sounds like she can get into exciting trouble with all those secrets. Especially searching for the truth about the Grand Masters while working for one. Fun!
ReplyDeleteI love character interviews! She sounds clever
ReplyDeleteThe sassy tone comes through clear in the interview. She's spunky and her answers make me think the GM is in trouble. Also noticed Dragons at the top. Must poke around your site since I'm always looking for dragon books :)
ReplyDeleteViolet's mission to find the dragons is her favorite. Ythris the Black and Silver Istrelle.
DeleteGreat interview. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments. Yes, Violet is spunky, determined and a little naive.
ReplyDeletePart 3 will be out very soon. Things get explosive in part 4.
Ooooh dragons!!! I like griffins, too. But somehow I don't think this one is going to be nice.
ReplyDeleteNice is absolutely the wrong word to describe these dragons or the griffin. Beautiful, deadly.
DeleteI'm sure there's symbolism in the griffin hunting a violet world, but I'd have to read more to figure out what.

ReplyDeleteHope she gets what she wants.
ReplyDeleteShe gets more than she expects.
DeleteI've been wondering what the griffin on the cover symbolizes. Now I know. Cool!
ReplyDeleteDown the road, in Book 3, the reader will learn why the Grand Master uses a griffin symbol.
DeleteLoved the interview with Violet! The concept sounds intriguing.
ReplyDeleteThe full book is up for pre-order and release on March 5th!!
